Presentation Night is an important 4-H annual event for all counties, and one that requires hard work, lots of interest, and a knack for sharing!

Every 4-H member, regardless of club, is asked to give a presentation on a topic of their choosing. Topics can be related to clubs that the 4-H member attends, or can be be based on the member's own interests. They should pick a topic they love to talk about!

Leaders work with 4-H members leading up to the event, showing them how to prepare a presentation on their chosen subject. Presence, format, and enthusiasm are all topics covered to ensure a successful presentation!

As 4-H members come together and give practiced talks about their chosen topics, volunteer judges evaluate their talks by factors such as presence, visuals, volume, etc. It's an opportunity for members to share their interests while honing their public speaking abilities!

Providing memorable experiences and instilling strong communication and outreach skills are a large component of 4-H. Presentation Night is an event that not only helps young people hone their speaking skills, but also celebrates their growth as members and as individuals.
